WBCOOP predictions - Results
At the beginning of the WBCOOP I made 6 predictions (http://rauchi-poker.blogspot.com/2012/02/wbcoop-predictions.html). Let's have a look which are true and which false.
(1) You have to make more than 250 points to win the Leaderboard
True. The player in 1st place has 295 points before the Main Event.
(2) Players from Russia will win 5-6 events, followed by Kanada 4-5, Germany 4-5 and the UK 3-4
True. Because Russia won 6 events, what means they won the "country"-leaderbord. Disappointing are the Results from my other 3 favorites: Canada, Germany and UK all only have 1 win.
(3) There will be more than 800 players in the Main Event
False. The Main Event only got 784 runners. I was close, but a little bit to optimistic.
(4) No PokerStars-Pro (TeamPro or Team Online) will win an event
True. Best results were Andre Akkari (3rd in #17) and Pierre Neuville (3rd in #27)
(5) Event #29 will attract most players (besides the Main Event)
False. First I wanted to take Event #1 but then I changed my opinion, which was a bad decision. Event #1 had 527 players, #2 490 and event #7 443. My prediction (#29) only placed 7th with 368 runners.
(6) Event #18 will attract least players
False. Event #12 and #16 hatd 177 runners, followed by #18 and #19 with 186.
Conclusion:
3 out of 6 predictions were correct. With a little bit more luck and trust my instinct I've would made 5 out of 6.

My WBCOOP 2012 Day 8: PLO8 and NLH Turbo
This was my last day of the WBCOOP beside the Main Event on Sunday.
I played to tournaments and I could continue my cashing streak ... that means 6 cashes in a row and total 7 cashes out of 10 tournaments. And in the last tournament i made my first deep run.
Event #26: Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 6-max
Tournament was quite standard. I used the late reg (surprise, surprise). Folded a lot made the money doubled up. Folded my way in the 2nd payout level and busted with 10BB and AK3Q (single suited) vs. AK52 (single suited) ... but i had his suits dominated.
71st of 231 players for a $11 ticket.
Event #27: No Limit Hold'em [Turbo]
This was my first deep run. I doubled very early with QQ vs. TT and won some small pots till we were in the money. After that i won another big Preflop All-In with AK vs. AT. After that i eliminated a shortie AT > AK. But after that my luck was used up.
A3 < QQ (blind vs. blind .... i put him All-In from the SB) A9 < 98 he made the flush JTs vs. A9o with 6BB as my bust hand.
That means 13th out of 283 for a $22 Ticket.

My WBCOOP 2012 Day 7: NL Omaha Hi/Lo
Another late night event for me: #24 NL Omaha Hi/Lo [Turbo]. Which starts at midnight in Austria.
I late regged this like all Turbo tournaments and foldet my way in the money where got my 13BB in with A2JT ws. AQ94 on a Q92 Board and couldn't improve.
But another cash: 83th out of 190 players for a $5.50 SCOOP Ticket.
But another thing:
PokerStars please fix the leaderboard.
There are players which played more than 10 tournaments. And event the point calculation doesn't work correctly.

My WBCOOP 2012 Day 6: Pot Limit Holdem and Shootout
Yesterday a played 2 tournaments. That's the first day during the WBCOOP that I play more than one event and I cashed in both of them.
Event #20: Pot Limit Holdem [Turbo] 9-max
I used the latereg and nearly 1/3 of all players already busted. I could increase my stack to 9k, than lost some because i had no hand and folded my way in the 2nd payout-level. My first good spot was when i openshoved 3,5BB with A2o and god called by QTo. He flopped the straight and i finished 48th out of 225 for a $11 Ticket
Event #21: No Limit Holdem [Turbo Shootout] 10-max
The first Shootout was a Heads-Up. It only lasted 6 hands when i opend with 55 and my opponent called. Flop 752. He checks, I c-bet he raises, I make a very small re-raise and he shoves and shows A7o. No miracles for him an I was in the 2nd round.
There I didn't play very well and busted very early with AT < AK of an oppenent who openshoved every hand he played and doubled up with J5s vs. 89s 3 hands before.
88th out of 219 for a $11 Ticket.

My WBCOOP 2012 Day 5: Pot Limit Omaha
On Monday i didn't play an event because i had to study for my math exam. So my next tournament was Event #18: Pot Limit Omaha Turbo.
I used the tip 4) of last blog post and folded my way in the money. Then I open pushed KT37 (double suited - I know this is a bad hand) and got called by the big blind holding AK86 double suited. I didn't improve and he won ... 105th out of 186 players and a $5.50 SCOOP-Ticket.

WBCOOP Day 4: NLH/PLO and Leaderboard tips
On day 4 of the WBCOOP 2012 I played the Event #11: NL Holdem / Pot Limit Omaha.
I'm really happy with my play but busted in a standard hand with 20BB QQ < AK and place 157th out of 378 players.
The champions of yesterday's events are:

Leaderboard tips:
The 1st of the WBCOOP 2012 Leaderboard get's a live package worth $7000. So what's important if you want to win that prize:
1) Don't play the No Limit Hold'em events exclusively
The NLHE Events have the most participants but you don't get more points for a win. So it's better to play the "exotic" events like Badugi, Stud, ... because there are less players than in the Hold'em events. And if you play ABC-poker in this events (read a strategy article before the tournament) you are one of the better players in the exotic events.
2) Win an event
That's the most important point, but even the most difficult. If you want to win the leaderboard you have to win an event.
3) Play tournaments with smaller fields
At this WBCOOP it looks like that the tournaments at 18p.m. ET have the smallest fields so play this tournaments (combine this with 1)
4) Cash in a lot of events
Like 3) Small fields are important. Use the late reg (reg 1 min before late-reg ends). Because a third or even half of players are already busted and if you start with the full starting stack you're only a little below average.
You can even fold your way in the money if you use your timebank.
